Red sky in the morning

I've never held much credence in that statement, because I've never found it to be true, but then again, I'm not out at sea.

Got up this morning, and this picture of the sunrise got me to thinking about that saying. Maybe the red sky, just isn't red enough, as the forecast for today is partly couldy and a high of 81°F.

Of course maybe the red sky has more to do with my hand then anything else.

I just can't do much with it, as there is still considerable swelling. Fortunately, with the exception of slight twinge every now and then there is little pain. The worst part is, I'm starting to have trouble maintaining my weight.

So Friday I decided to go for a short run (to ease back into exercising), and then Saturday I went to the gym for a ride on the life cycle, and another short run. I even thought the hand was improving, but then Sunday, I spent most of the day helping out at our club cyclocross race, after which it seemed my hand started to swell up some more.

Now I'm not sure if I should go to the gym again today, as I'm concerned the effort may be causing some problems.

I'm almost wishing now I hadn't done this hand surgery. I just hate this!

I don't understand what the red sky at morning has to do with your hand? Does it hurt more?

The reason the sunrise or sunset is read is the sun is at it's lowest point. The sun rays break through the atmosphere, with red wavelengths being the longest, therefore the most often seen.

So, if it is in the morning the rays are shining upward which means they coud be richocheting off of a front, but they are often fiery red. At sunset the sun rays are shinnning down so the front is high and not to be worried about.

Jesus even spoke about this occurence in the New Testament. But then agin he hung out with fishermen so they might have "informed" him, like Captain Reynolds did me from my days as a galley whench Argggggggggggggggg

But I did cheat and google the correct terminology.

I thought fat people were happy.

PS we have a new sales person today.

It was the warning thing about exercising and my hand.

I was thinking of it as kind of like a metaphor.

You should have taken my advise and skipped the surgery... Just think your pinky finger would look just like mine in a year or so!

Vaccine Mandates, what are they good for?

Not much, that's for sure! Simply showing evidence of receiving a Covid-19 vaccine (whether fake or not), does not mean you are protected from getting Covid-19, nor spreading it, if infected. We are all different, and too many of us, i.e. people who are immunocompromised/ immunosupressed, the elderly, or others for various reasons, do not [cannot] mount an immune response as good as younger and healthier individuals. What is evidence of immunity is a quantitative antibody test showing you have developed antibodies, and to what degree, either from natural immunity or the vaccine.  That is what we should be testing for. That is what is important. But for too long, many, i.e. the FDA, doctors, and other health experts discouraged people (and still are) from getting antibody tests, because there was little knowledge about what level of antibodies are needed to impart immunity to the virus. Open letter to all Democrats

Stop the nonsense! Continuing to go after Trump, without any hope of getting a conviction, does nothing more than provide Republicans with an obstructionist dialogue (now that they have come up with the unconstitutional talking point) in addition to giving Trump much needed publicity, when we should be ignoring him. It's the pure definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result! Instead Democrats need to be laser focused on what is important to all Americans, i.e. healthcare, Social Security and Medicare, infrastructure reform, the Covid-19 vaccine rollout, to name just a few.
