Because I sure can't say much about the rest of the week.
Even my beloved Steelers, defeating the Baltimore Ravens to start off the week, didn't do much to stem the mostly negative tone to the week.
It started on Tuesday, when I put gas in my car at the neighborhood gas station, before going to work, and soon discovering the gas station 1 mile down the road was selling it for 6ยข less per gallon. That was followed by my realizing I had forgotten to brush my teeth before leaving the house (and I was too far from home to turn around).
Then the work week seemed overly burdened by some very annoying customers [thank goodness Becky was there to calm me down]. One customer even sent us a letter stating we weren't working to the latest revision of a specification that was released barely a month ago.
The audacity! How can they assume we aren't in compliance with the change? The didn't audit us! Or were the changes so extensive it would be impossible for anyone to be in compliance? It was ridiculous!
And of course there's my hand, which is still swollen quite a bit, and not showing much improvement if any. :(
Fortunately the week hasn't all been bad. I did get the stitches out of my hand yesterday, which means I don't have to cover it anymore when I take a shower, and the doctor thinks it is progressing as expected considering how extensive the surgery was. It just may take longer than I planned to recover.
Oh yeah, and Bud got me a new smaller and lighter cell phone (I had dropped the old one, one too many times), and as the title of this post suggests, my latest blood counts continue to be stable.
