My faith in Republican's has been restored

Sorry for being so political lately, but I actually believed Republicans would do the right thing today, and vote in favor of much needed legislation, providing liquidity to the US financial system, and helping home owners, who got caught up in the American dream of home ownership.

But will wonders never cease, the Republicans today (and admittedly some Democrats as well) reaffirmed my belief the Republican philosophy of I've got mine, who cares about anyone else, still reigns true, by helping to defeat the proposed legislation.

And to think I almost believed John McCain, when he said he would change the way Congress works, and would reach across the isle to work with Democrats in a bipartisan fashion. But after hearing John McCain's speech today, I now realize his calls for reaching across the isle, were simply to make it easier for him to stick a knife in the back of Democrats, when they weren't watching.

Hopefully the American public will wake up in the next 36 days, and see the light, before it's too late.

Up late again I see. I shouldn't be talking though since it's after 1 AM and I'm still up.

It must be knowing our country is in such good hands now, has made me so giddy with such joy, I can't sleep.

Fatigue! Part II - Maybe it is real?

Or it's actually Motivational Deficiency Disorder, MoDeD (pronounced Mo-Dee-Dee) for short. In a report this week by Roy Moynihan who reports for the British Medical Journal Austrailian scientists may have come across the reason for extreme laziness . The condition is claimed to affect up to one in five Australians and is characterised by overwhelming and debilitating apathy. Neuroscientists at the University of Newcastle in Australia say that in severe cases motivational deficiency disorder can be fatal, because the condition reduces the motivation to breathe. Neurologist Leth Argos is part of the team that has identified the disorder, which can be diagnosed using a combination of positron emission tomography and low scores on a motivation rating scale, previously validated in elite athletes. "This disorder is poorly understood," Professor Argos told the BMJ. "It is underdiagnosed and undertreated." Who knew? Maybe I have MoDeD, from my attempts to become a...

My concerns reaffirmed today

When I was first diagnosed with MCL, I pretty much read just about everything I could get my hands on, I attended various conferences, and I talked to anyone who would listen. One of the most important lessons I learned, and which I've mentioned numerous times before was No one cares more about you than you. But in addition to that, I learned to fear the drug Doxorubicin , AKA Adriamycin, Doxil, Hydroxydoxorubicin, or more affectionately the Red Devil. Besides being a deadly chemical, as is the case with most chemotherapy drugs, it is one of the few chemotherapy drugs known to cause permanent heart damage. I even heard Dr. Sandra Horning , a noted Stanford lymphoma specialist, state at the first lymphoma conference I attended in LA, there was no evidence Doxorubicin provided any added benefit to chemotherapy protocols. This was music to my ears, since Doxorubicin is very common in most lymphoma treatment protocols. And even though Dr. Horning has since changed her tune [which my sk...

You can't make this shit up. Really!

We had been planning to see a taping of Undateable Live for a few weeks now, and we actually made it there tonight, but on the way something awful happened. A terrorist attack in Paris. Now it might seem heartless of me to be thinking about my misfortune, having to wait over 2 hours for our driver ( the show was cancelled) ), to pick us up, when so many others are suffering an unimaginable fate, but it is what it is. If nothing else, this few hours has provided a lot of time to think [blog], what might have been, if it weren't for the likes of Republicans, and the spawning of the two individuals I blame most for the state of the world today, George W Bush, and Dick Cheney. Those two, in only 8 short years, managed to do more to destabilize the world, creating the chaos there is today, than anyone could have ever imagined. (What Saddam Hussein must be thinking now.) If anyone deserves blame for the carnage in Paris today, it is George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, and they should b...
