Just another day in paradise

It's hard to believe today could be worse than yesterday, but it is.

The high today is only supposed to get to 60°F, and it's mostly overcast, although the sun has been trying show itself on occasion.  Plus there's a 30% chance of rain all day.

Even worse, my lower back is still hurting, and it doesn't seem to be getting much better. It may even be worse than yesterday.

I can't sit down for more than a few minutes at a time, so I can't even watch TV, to pass the time away, on this miserable day.  And laying down on the bed doesn't help much either.

The only consolation is, I picked a good week to hurt my back, as the weather really isn't good bike riding weather.  Still I would rather be out on the bike regardless.

Oh well, sorry for boring you all with my petty complaints, but I just had to vent and get that off my chest.

Maybe going to a wine tasting later this afternoon will cheer me up some.

I hope your back gets better. I know what a drag that can be. I have to have another consultation for an epidural and the can see me the end of JUNE. Geez, now you got me started.

Well, you must have been excited, your sentence doesn't make a lot of sense.

Do you mean "the doctor can't see you until the end of June?"

You might check another Kaiser facility to see if you can get to see a doctor earlier. Besides a second opinion wouldn't be such a bad idea regardless.

As for me, I just got up, and I'm guardedly optimistic my back is getting better. I actually got a good nights sleep.

But only time will tell for sure.

I think I'll go put some ice on it now.

My concerns reaffirmed today

When I was first diagnosed with MCL, I pretty much read just about everything I could get my hands on, I attended various conferences, and I talked to anyone who would listen. One of the most important lessons I learned, and which I've mentioned numerous times before was No one cares more about you than you. But in addition to that, I learned to fear the drug Doxorubicin , AKA Adriamycin, Doxil, Hydroxydoxorubicin, or more affectionately the Red Devil. Besides being a deadly chemical, as is the case with most chemotherapy drugs, it is one of the few chemotherapy drugs known to cause permanent heart damage. You can't make this shit up. Really!

We had been planning to see a taping of Undateable Live for a few weeks now, and we actually made it there tonight, but on the way something awful happened. A terrorist attack in Paris. Now it might seem heartless of me to be thinking about my misfortune, having to wait over 2 hours for our driver ( the show was cancelled) ), to pick us up, when so many others are suffering an unimaginable fate, but it is what it is. If nothing else, this few hours has provided a lot of time to think [blog], what might have been, if it weren't for the likes of Republicans, and the spawning of the two individuals I blame most for the state of the world today, George W Bush, and Dick Cheney.
